United Nations General Assembly defined “terrorism” in various resolutions over the years. The definition in the 1996 resolution, which is still retained in other succeeding resolutions in later years with some additional explanations, is as follows:
“Criminal acts intended or calculated to provoke a state of terror in the general public, a group of persons or particular persons for political purposes are in any circumstance unjustifiable, whatever the considerations of a political, philosophical, ideological, racial, ethnic, religious or any other nature that may be invoked to justify them”.
This is exactly what the army is doing with Operation Python Dance II in the South East of Nigeria, as seen in the following stories:
September 11 2017
September 13 2017
and as captured in these videos:
September 11 2017
OPERATION PYTHON DANCE IS TERRORISM because is “Criminal” and falls into “acts intended or calculated to provoke a state of terror in the general public, a group of persons or particular persons for political purposes” as held in the UN Resolution. It is criminal because the army deployed for operation python dance unlawfully as the operation ought to have been authorized by the national assembly, in compliance with section 217 of the Nigerian constitution, for a legally justifiable reason (armed insurrection etc as in section 217 of the constitution). The South East of Nigeria is a place of peaceful and hardworking people and even IPOB members are not armed. the operation is not authorized by the national assembly. Their actions already constitute terrorism.
OPERATION PYTHON DANCE IS HATE ACTION because it is premeditated intimidation targeting a people that have done nothing wrong at a time people from the same place with the president have issued quit notice to their stock living in the president’s north; the president comes home from medical vacation and hears about the quit notice but instead of condemning his people’s action like others are doing he unleashes the army on this same people like he did last year killing many harmless young south easterners at Onitsha, Nkpor and Aba, an action that was condemned by the Amnesty International; and that is the same people he had openly said he cared little about (as little as 5% to other people’s 95%). The south east has done nothing to merit operation python dance. It is hate action.
