A powerful statement has been made by Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State on the report concerning the health of President Buhari. The statement says “Fayose Dubs Osinbajo a Liar, Threatens to Release 11 Pictures on Buhari’s True State”. “Powerful” in that it is a statement against an official report of no less a personality than the Acting President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and that it not only contradicts him but presents the highest authority in Nigeria as a liar and a report from the highest official source in Nigeria as a blatant lie. It is a shameful situation if Fayose is proved right. Lying by, and strong allegations of lying on, officials of this administration are no more big news but lying in an official report by the Acting President should be viewed most seriously.
Many Nigerians believe that Governor Fayose is right. I could see the lies on his face when he was speaking on his arrival from London. He is not a very good liar. His brilliance does not extend to that. It’s a pity the inglorious cabal would have forced him into this appalling show. I wonder why he suddenly jetted off to London the way he did. I had a strong feeling there were some ominous rumbles at Aso Rock that resulted in his being forced to make that smokescreen journey so as to provide the requisite scenario for the fake news that could buy them some time for the interesting game they are on. They, perhaps, thought that the Professor-Pastor would be believed more easily than those others, whose words are no more worth anything. Most comments on Fayose’s statement show that Nigerians are not that gullible.
I agree with Frank Ogbonna who said: “It’s a pity Osibanjo with all his academic qualifications and even a very great religious recognition could allow himself to be turned to decieved deciever who goes as far as lying first to himself then to an entire 170 million Nigerians whose ship he was meant to captain. All in an attempt to promote a man’s political ambition, an ambition which GEJ clearly stated is not worth the blood of a single Nigerian. Nigerians are experiencing a level of hardship that other countries can only read in pages of news papers yet to console us you saddle us with lies..There z God oh”. This is a pitiable situation in our country.
Nigerians believe that what we are seeing is an attempt to play on the intelligence of Nigerians, and this is very disrespectful and very unbecoming of people who are in positions of trust. They have actually killed trust. Recent authoritative reports suggest that Buhari’s health condition is irreversibly dire and could not have been anywhere near the picture painted by the Acting President. There was even a suggestion that he might not really be alive.
It now seems likely that the rife speculation that some despicable, mostly faceless, but criminally powerful characters associated with Aso Rock might be breathing down on the people’s prof and making him frequently look over his shoulders, has some substance.
Is it not possible the situation is part of what Senator Shehu Sani’s Animal Kingdom allegory refers to? It is clear that Sani was talking about the situation in Aso Rock when he said:
“Prayer for the absent Lion King has waned;Until he’s back then they will fall over each other to be on the front row of the palace temple. Now the hyenas and the jackals are scheming and talking to each other in whispers;still doubting whether the Lion King will be back or not. Now the Lion king is asleep and no other dare to confirm if he will wake up or not. Its the wish of the Hyenas that the Lion King never wakes or come back so that they can be kings. Its the Prayers of the weaker animals that the Lion King comes back to save the Kingdom from the Hyenas, the wolves and other predators.”
In the thoughts of Mrs Aisha Buhari and, perhaps many other Nigerians, “the weaker animals” refer to ordinary Nigerians. Aisha Buhari’s response was:
“God has answered the prayers of the weaker Animals, The Hyena’s and the Jackals will soon be sent out of the kingdom .
We strongly believe in the prayers and support of the weaker animals.
Long live the weaker animals, Long live Nigeria”
I do think that Senator Sani might be insinuating the present playing out situation and supposing the Acting President is the weaker animal being referred to although the expression is in the plural. This supposes that the Acting President is threatened and intimidated by the cabal, who are working very hard, as perceived in these clandestine ploys, to ensure that he does not ascend The Lion King Throne. It seems the Acting President is playing along in the interest of national peace and progress as these cabalistic characters actually behave like uncompromising, inconsiderate and egoistic spoilt brats in a family of soft-hearted concerned persons. They usually construe the peace-seeking posture of such nice people as weakness, until one matches them squarely and puts them in their place, like Obasanjo did.
It is a great mistake on the part of anyone who believes that Prof Yemi Osinbajo is weak. The guru has his own mind. What the rat up there does not know is that his belly is clearly in view. When things get to blow up, as they must do soon if they do not stop their petty little intrigues and embrace propriety, transparency and respect for law, I will be there to say “I told you so”.
